  COMMON CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES OF PULP PUMP
VOLUTE CASING
:
Self venting casing prevents air lock with low radia Force
IMPELLER
:
Semi open / Open type radial vane impellers with Optimum efficiency to handle pulp up to 7%consistency. Bank vanes relives pressure on Stuffing box & reduce axial thrust.
RENEWABLE WEAR PLATE
:
Fitted with casing parallel to impeller profile to ensure the impeller clearance and to achieve the efficiency of the pump. This also protects the Liquid contact in the wear plate seating area of the casing.
STUFFING BOX
:
Packed with gland packing for leakage free.
HEAVY DUTY SHAFT
:
Deflection at Stuffing box is less than 0.06mm. High strength Carbon steel shaft. No contact with the liquid. (Dry shaft no SS material required.)
BACK PULL OUT DESIGN
:
Pump rotor assembly can be removed without disturbing the suction & discharge flanges. When dismantling the pump the casing remain in the pipe line.
JACK SCREWS
:
Provision of jack screws in stuffing box, Lantern, Impeller, Bearing covers for easy dismantling.
GLAND PACKING
:
Standard stuffing box with gland packing,modification from packed gland to commercial mechanical seal is possible.
SHAFT SLEEVE
:
Shaft sleeves with SS 304 properly grounded For low friction with gland packing and for increased Life

BEARING HOUSING
:
Sturdy bearing unit design. Non Floating rotor avoids Seal and bearing problems. Both oil & grease can be used us a lubricant. Since more pump models are coming under same bearing unit only few spares need to be kept for maintenance.

Heavy duty angular contact ball Bearings in drive end 2 Nos. & 1 No. cylindrical roller / deep groove ball bearing in the non drive end. With oil Lubrication

BEARING HOUSING
:
Sturdy bearing unit design. Floating type rotor enable to adjust the impeller clearance with wear plate without dismantling the pump. Both oil & Grease can be used as a lubricant. Since more models are coming under same bearing unit, Only few spares need to be kept for maintenance.

2 Nos. tapper roller bearings on both ends of the bearing housing to take care of axial and radial thrust.
